Zhang Yiguo, Vice Chairman of CEPPEA, Attends China-Indonesia Clean Energy and Green Development Forum
On June 10, marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Indonesia, the “75th Anniversary of Synergistic Growth: China-Indonesia Clean Energy and Green Development” forum was held in Beijing. The event was co-hosted by Indonesia’s Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) and the Embassy of Indonesia in China. At the recommendation of the National Energy Administration, Zhang Yiguo, Vice President of China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech titled Prospects for China-Indonesia Cooperation Based on China’s Renewable Energy Experience.
In his speech, Zhang shared insights on global and China’s renewable energy development, highlighted China’s practical experience, and proposed cooperation prospects between the two countries, leveraging their complementary strengths. He noted Indonesia’s active push for energy transition and solar power development, as well as its strong willingness to cooperate with China. During the discussion session, Indonesian delegates raised questions enthusiastically, and Zhang engaged in exchanges on topics such as renewable energy integration and photovoltaic industry development.
The forum was also attended by Parulian Silalahi, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indonesian Embassy in China; Elizani T.X. Nadia Sumampouw, Minister Counsellor; Farah Heliantina, Deputy Director of Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs; and Fabby Tumiwa, Executive Director of IESR.
